ML Systems After working on many ML systems, one thing becomes clear. Progress comes from understanding the data, defining the problem precisely, and choosing the right metric. Those choices shape the behavior of the entire system.

Evaluation Picking the wrong metric is one of the most expensive mistakes a team can make. We find this underappreciated in practice.

Generative AI There is a lot of noise. We are interested in what these systems actually do well, where they fall short, and how to test that honestly.
